H. Andre Thomas is Founder & CEO of Wireless Ingenuity, LLc., a Global Wireless Technology Development firm located in Bellevue, Washington. The company is a source of wireless innovation solutions to Tier 1 telecommunications companies in Europe, the Americas, Asia and Africa reaching over 2 billion customers. Since 2002, our portfolio companies have raised over $2 billion in capital and employ over 3,000 employees. Mr. Thomas has built an innovation ecosystem that includes key players necessary to facilitate a faster path to commercial deployment. To date, the company has facilitated the development of over 70 next generation wireless consumer and enterprise products & services.
Mr. Thomas is a pioneer in the Wireless industry. Prior to founding Wireless Ingenuity, he served in Senior Executive roles with Vodafone Group, PLc and AirTouch Communications including Vodafone’s Group Planning Director/Chief Strategist, CFO Group Services and founding Managing Director of Vodafone Ventures. At AirTouch, he was Chief of Staff to the President and Chief Operating Officer; Regional President/General Manager of AirTouch Paging; Director of Corporate Development; and Director of International Strategy, Development and Operations. He participated in several significant wireless industry milestones including the IPO of AirTouch Communications, the acquisitions of US West New Vector Group, Cellular Communications, Inc., the formation of the Bell Atlantic/AirTouch JV and PCS Primeco, the launch of Globalstar Low Earth Orbiting Satellite Communications system, the acquisition of Japan Telecom and Vodafone’s strategic investment in China Mobile. Mr. Thomas is the chief architect of Vodafone Group’s initial Wireless Data Strategy and he played a key role in Vodafone’s $200 billion acquisition of Mannesmann AG.
Prior to joining the Wireless Industry, Mr. Thomas served in several roles with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Denver, San Francisco and New York.
He has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Accounting from the University of Denver.
